NOTE: If you don't know how to configure a favelet with your browser, we provide help.

Browser Compatibility

What it doesn't do
  • Work in framesets that have frames that come from external sources.
  • Anti No Right Click is a lightweight solution. It is meant to work on pages quickly, with minimal side-effects. For a slower, more intrusive, yet more effective solution, you should use our Script Killer favelet instead.
Side-effects

Anti No Right Click may cause some JavaScript on the page not to work properly. If you are dissatisfied with the way the web page is functioning after executing Anti No Right Click, simply reload the page by pressing the Refresh button. This will reverse the effects of the favelet.

Testing this favelet

After you've installed Anti No Right Click, here are some places you can test it out on:

  • DesignerWiz : DesignerWiz is an excellent test case, because they block right-clicking and use frames.
  • CodeLifter.com : CodeLifter.com makes their right mouse button disabling script free to the masses. They also make a product called CodeLifter, which enables you to view JavaScript from a web page. They mention in their advertising that CodeLifter can even view the source code of pages that are protected by right click disabling scripts. Humm ... I think we have a little bit of a conflict of interests here, don't you?
  • The Andy Kaufman Home Page : The Andy Kaufman home page blocks right-clicking (over images) as well as text selection. Andy Kaufman couldn't be dead. This web page must be an elaborate scheme concocted by Andy Kaufman to drive web users crazy.
Acknowledgments

A big special thanks to Bookmarklets - Browser Power for showing us the technique for allowing this favelet to work in frames, and for giving us the idea for a light-weight version of our Script Killer favelet.
